Warhammer Online: Dark Elf Careers
January 6th, 2008 | by Shintar |Managed to find some time make a post. Additionally, it’s a post other than World of Warcraft at that! After checking Mythic’s Warhammer website yesterday, I noticed that they updated the Dark Elf classes, considering they’re my second choice when Warhammer goes live. The first choice being the High Elves.
The four Dark Elf classes are: Witch Elf (melee damage), Disciple of Khaine (damage over time, team support), Black Guard (tank), and Sorceress (range damage).
As of today, Mythic has not release much information about the Black Guard other than a concept drawing. I assume that the Black Guard is a tank class. I told my friend that I would play the Dark Elves if they released Black Guard or the Executioner. I’m happy that one of those classes will be in the game but I was hoping that they made the Dark Elf Black Guard a damage class, not a tank.
I really wanted the Dark Elf race to have the Dark Elf Executioners. You can see what they look like here. I don’t know about you guys, but they look badass, especially with that huge two hand sword. Hopefully, Mythic will add in the Dark Elf Executioners and make them a melee damage class in a later expansion.
On a side note, I was dissappointed that Mythic made the High Elf Swordmasters as the tank class for the High Elves as well, considering that the High Elf Swordmasters are suppose to be the most skilled swordmen in land.
Anyways, I actually look forward to playing a Dark Elf when the game releases or when I get into beta! I really like the appearance of the Warhammer Dark Elves, they just look so cruel and wicked. But then again, I really want to see what the two unreleased classes for the High Elves are before I make my final decision.
I have a feeling that the two unreleased classes will be the stealthy Shadow Warriors, think Faramir’s Rangers squad from Lord of the Rings but clearer, and axe wielding White Lions. I’ll discuss about the High Elves on a later post.
